A refined late 19th-century oil on canvas depicting a generous arrangement of white blossom displayed in a blue faience vase. The painting is executed with confident, impressionistic brushwork, capturing the delicate texture and luminosity of the flowers against a restrained tonal background.

The work bears the signature “E. Coppenolle” lower right. The composition, handling of paint and subject matter closely correspond with the floral still lifes produced by the Belgian-born artist Edmond van Coppenolle (1846–1914), who spent much of his career working in France and became renowned for his richly painted botanical studies. The signature format is also consistent with documented variations used by the artist throughout his career. While offered as attributed to Edmond van Coppenolle, prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves as to the attribution.

A beautifully decorative painting with excellent presence, equally suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
