A set of nineteenth-century French mannequin wings, retaining their original floral cotton covering in soft green, cream and muted gold tones. Traditionally used within a dressmaker’s atelier, these decorative forms would once have adorned a mannequin or display stand, adding elegance and grandeur to the presentation of garments and accessories.
Rich in character and beautifully timeworn, the wings feature a delicate neoclassical design of garlands and medallions, making them a striking decorative piece in their own right. Their faded palette and hand-finished construction evoke the charm and craftsmanship of nineteenth-century France.
A wonderfully unusual decorative object, equally suited to a boutique interior or a carefully curated collection of antique textiles.
